Here are my notes and observation for day 2 of Ignite
Session 1: Daniel Trinidad
– everyone has a tendency to grow cold.
– we are reminded to fan into flame the gift of God
” Hindi ka mamamatay pag wala kang boyfriend/ girlfriend”
People around you affect the flame inside you.
Don’t go solo. Who is your Paul ( mentor/ discipling you)
How do you keep the fire of God burning? I can’t. The real answer is the fire of God keeps me burning.
Session 2: Raissa Laurel
– more than the message it was the life message of Raissa that hit home. You can have no legs but still glorify God. It is a perfect story for our current series Habakkuk. Thank you Raissa for inspiring us to make a difference.
2 Corinthians 4:16-17 (New International Version)
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
Session 3: Gilbert Foliente
Pastor Gilbert preached on Isaiah 6. I love how he described “GLORY”
GLORY = WEIGHT. In light of God’s glory I am light. I have nothing to boast of.
The fire that was supposed to judge us, cleanse and purified us. My response is Here I am send me!!!
I can’t do ministry unless I have the Holy Spirit in me.
As Pastor Gilbert was preaching, the word facade kept coming up. It is so easy to have a facade that I can handle this and that I am good but in light of God’s holiness, i am like a pfftt!!!
Worship today was awesome. The presence of God was so thick and you can sense His move amongst us. Great time and was truly refreshed. Makes me want to trust and depend on the Spirit more.
