One of my favorite authors! Mark writes so well that I got all his books. This book is about the Holy Spirit. I love how he presents the Holy Spirit to us in this book. His style of returning to how the Celtic Christians see and worship God is fascinating, and he ties it up to the adventure that awaits us as we walk in the Spirit. Let his writing do the talking!

The book is divided into ten chapters, each exploring a different aspect of the wild goose chase. Batterson draws from his own experiences as a pastor and author, biblical characters’ lives, and other historical figures to illustrate his points. In addition, he weaves personal anecdotes, scriptural insights, and practical advice to create a compelling and engaging narrative.

One of the strengths of this book is its emphasis on taking risks and stepping out of our comfort zones. Batterson challenges readers to embrace uncertainty and trust God to lead them. He also emphasizes the importance of community and accountability, encouraging readers to surround themselves with people who will support and challenge them in pursuing God’s calling.

Another strength of the book is its focus on the intersection of faith and creativity. Batterson encourages readers to use their God-given talents and passions to make a difference in the world, whether through art, music, writing, or any other creative pursuit. He challenges readers to think outside the box and embrace innovation in pursuing God’s calling.

Overall, “Wild Goose Chase” is a powerful and inspiring book that will encourage readers to embrace a life of adventure and pursue the dreams that God has placed in their hearts. It is well-written, thought-provoking, and practical advice for anyone seeking to live a life of purpose and significance. It is highly recommended.
