Just finished reading the life of David and can’t help but do a follow up blog on how we can win the world for Jesus but still lose our soul in the process. My part 1 is written here

King david was literally winning the world when he committed adultery. How could that have happened?

I remember Pastor Jim Laffoon warning us pastors “NEVER MEASURE YOURSELF WHEN YOU ARE IN THE ANOINTING.” Our fantastic preaching that resulted in thousands of salvation or our healing ministry is never a measurement if we are in right standing with God. NEVER!

We can be RAH-RAH-RAH nad GO-GO-GO in winning the world for Jesus but in the process lose our love for Him. I have seen countless pastors falling in the midst of rapid church growth. This goes the same for pastors who are struggling in their church. One thing is common though : they have forgotten their first love. They have fallen away from the God they love and serve.

Lord Jesus I pray that we would never lose our passion and love for you. In the midst of winning the world may we never lose our soul. May our love for you, your word and prayer increase all the more as we the see the work of the gospel increasing in our generation. In Jesus name, Amen

Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.  Revelation 2:5
