Came from a very enlightening and productive seminar with church consultant Paul Barker and he talked about the 5 foundations of a productive team. What hit me during the talk was the traits needed to become a productive leader. This was a study based in the book STRENGTH BASED LEADERSHIP. They interviewed 200,000 followers of great leaders and here was the common trait they found among productive leaders.
1. BUILDS TRUST.
Trust is the basic foundation of a great team. Without trust – nothing happens. More on that in my next blogs.
2. SHOWS COMPASSION.
A leader is more concern with the well being of their team than the organization.
3. PROVIDES STABILITY.
A leader makes the team secure. He is calm during the storm.
4. CREATES HOPE.
He creates hope. He rallies people to the vision.
