The Journey to Planting a Campus Reaching Church in our City

Last week in our 12–24 Strong Men’s group, we discussed that our true identity is found in Christ.

Too often, men define themselves by success, strength, possessions, or the approval of others. But the gospel reminds us that before we do, we must know who we are. We are sons of God, redeemed by Christ, called to reflect His image in every sphere of life.

As men, this identity shapes how we live—in our work, our families, our relationships, and our church. It calls us to rise above cultural pressures and shallow definitions of manhood, and instead walk with humility, courage, and servant-leadership.

Psalm 127 says children are like arrows in the hands of a warrior—meant to be shaped, aimed, and released into their God-given purpose. In the same way, we are not just raising sons; we are raising future fathers, leaders, and disciple-makers.

That means the young men in our church need to see older men modeling faith, integrity, and courage. They need mentors who will walk with them, challenge them, and remind them of their identity in Christ.

Church, this is our charge:

To build strong men anchored in Jesus, not in fleeting identities.

To disciple the next generation, so they don’t just become good sons, but godly fathers.

To equip them to do the works of the ministry. The young people are leaders now, not tomorrow.

Let’s be the kind of men who not only live out our faith but also pass it on. 2 Timothy 2:2

Because when we raise men who know who they are in Christ, we raise fathers who will shape families, strengthen the church, and impact generations.
