I love Marvel heroes – Spiderman, Incredible Hulk, Xmen and the like. The idea that an ordinary man would be infused with a super genetic code or a weird powerful DNA that would transform them to SUPERHEROES.

In a way every member of our church must be injected with Jesus’ DNA.

And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. John 20:22

When Jesus ascended, he told the disciples that the Holy Spirit will come and they will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on them so that they may be effective witnesses everywhere.

What does that mean to us church leaders? It means “DON’T DARE MAKE A MOVE WITHOUT THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT”.

Jesus imparted the Holy Spirit to His disciples. The result was that even when Jesus ascended they continued doing the work. This is the result effective discipleship.

Make every effort to infuse and inject the DNA of Jesus to every disciple you train. Let them rely not on you, but on the power of the Holy Spirit as they GO and Make Disciples in every nation.
