This week was sacred.

We spent two days on retreat with the Branch Managers of Sun Life Metro Manila, leaning into a truth we often forget in the rush of leadership:

“Our soul is the soil from which all our leadership grows.”

To lead is a sacred trust. The decisions we make can ripple into thousands of lives. But when we lead from an anxious, hurried, or depleted soul, the weight of our leadership becomes heavy—not just for us, but for those we serve.

That’s why pause is not a luxury. It’s a discipline.

A retreat is not an escape—it’s a return.

A return to stillness. To presence.

To the voice of God that so often comes in a gentle whisper.

We lead best when we are led by God.

We work from rest—not because we’re exhausted, but because we are anchored.

Thank you to the branch managers of Sun Life and BM Ramil for making space for this. I was deeply refreshed by the stories, the tears, the laughter, and the prayers. May we all continue to lead from a soul that is strengthened and centered.
