I have been living in San Juan for the past year and have been working here for the past 4 years. I have fallen in love with the city because of its accessibility. Everything can be found in San Juan. Grocery, mall, restaurants. Did I say restaurants? Yes!!! Lots of them!!! So I decided to feature some of the good places you can try out in the city of San Juan. I will give my honest opinions of the food we have tasted. So for my first food review entry:

The CHICKEN!!!!
Since its opening in 1950, Savory has been about chicken. SAVORY = chicken. Everytime I eat the chicken- it literally brings me back to my younger days (when I was 6 years old). We have this family friend who everytime he visits the house will bring a SAVORY whole chicken. We would all race down to eat the chicken. Funny thing happened one day. The family friend visited us and he didn’t bring any. We were so sad and told him why he didn’t bring some SAVORY chicken. When he left, we all got disciplined by our dad because we were so insensitive to our guests. We all got the belt that night but it is still a good trade since every time he visits us, he never failed to bring the chicken.
Don’t make the mistake of not ordering the LOMI SOUP!!!!
Just blogging this already made my stomach grumble. Must try!!! Must eat LOMI….
Of course what would chicken be without the SAVORY FRIED RICE
Imagine Yang Chow with added chinese chorizo – that is SAVORY FRIED RICE. Perfect combination with the chicken.
Other food in the menu are good but this are the three must order in SAVORY. So when you drop by Greenhills, you can visit SAVORY. It is near Music Museum, the place we rent every Sunday for our worship services.
