I’ve got news for you: You are not the MAN.

I’ve learned that early in ministry and I plan to break this rule for the rest of my life.

Planting a church in Greenhills is not easy. Too many things to do. Too many responsibilities that even a super pastor won’t be able to survive the 2 year mark.

So why am I still here and still very happy and alive.

ANSWER: TEAM MINISTRY.

1. Hire great people.

2. Ask great people to volunteer.

3. Empower them to do what they are supposed to be doing.

We have this new pastor on staff who is now heading up our discipleship ministry. We hired him because we know he can get the job done and he would do a better job in leading it. He preaches really well, he has great leadership anointing. Am I insecure? NO! I am happy. I have accepted the fact that I AM NOT THE MAN for that certain job/ministry.

Another pastor on staff, Pastor Tito is a seasoned pastor, a theologian and a world class counselor. He loves is job and he is the best for that specific ministry. He has taken our pastoral care ministry to a whole new level. Do I feel like that I bring less value to the team.

No, because of team ministry – we have added value to the ministry/church. We are now focus on the specific task given to us. We have shared the burden and it has make us better leaders. It made me more productive and efficient.

I can’t work without the team. I am not the man. WE ARE THE TEAM!
