Acts 2:16-21
16 No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
17 “‘In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
18 Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
and they will prophesy.
19 I will show wonders in the heavens above
and signs on the earth below,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
20 The sun will be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
21 And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved.’
God’s spirit is on the move. Personally, I have seen our local church move in the power of the Holy Spirit and it is awe-inspiring. You see when the Spirit of God moves, it moves and touches not just a few but the whole church. Healings start to happen. Signs and wonders follow. Ownership among church members are escalated, discipleship booms. You would hear of changed lives and powerful stories of transformation because the gospel is advancing. In the last days, God will pour out His Spirit. The picture God shows us in the book of Acts is that the church is alive and well and breaking the strongholds of the enemy before His return.
At the same breath that the church is growing and influencing culture and community, you would see also an increase of wickedness in the world. We might be experiencing natural disasters that are catastrophic, social problems, financial problems. People choose to worship idols instead of God.
Two scenarios happening in the last days. The church is moving and advancing while wickedness increases also. The church should never stop what it is called to do – GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES
