Looking at how the church has grown, leaders being raised, disciples being trained, missionaries being sent out, marriages being restored, young people coming to Jesus, kids church maxing out the place – all I can say is that every working day is a MIRACLE.
It is the grace of God, the favor of God, the love of God, the holiness of God that has brought this to pass.
¶ When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.” Luke 5:4
¶ Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” Luke 5:5
¶ When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. Luke 5:6
So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink. Luke 5:7
After the boat was filled with fish and began to sink how did Peter reacted:
1. Lord please do it again tomorrow.
2. Lord grabe mo ang galling mo talaga, pagluto nga kita.
3. Lord I deserve this because I called forth prosperity to come.
When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!” Luke 5:8
Peter realized again that he was in the presence of the Incarnate. The Holy One. He was panicking and don’t know what to say so he blurted out: Go away I am a sinful man.
It could be my response as well:
1. Do it again next week.
2. Lord wow you are good
3. Lord I deserve this, we work hard for the church to grow.
But we have to realize that every Sunday is a MIRACLE!
