What would Jesus say to Lindsay Lohan?

From Yahoo News:

BEVERLY HILLS (Reuters) – Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in jail on Tuesday after a Beverly Hills judge ruled that she had violated her probation by missing a string of alcohol education classes imposed for a 2007 drunk driving arrest.

Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel ordered the “Mean Girls” movie star to report for jail on July 20. She also ordered Lohan to attend a 90-day residential substance abuse program once she has completed her sentence.

Lohan, 24, sobbed bitterly on hearing the sentence. She had earlier tearfully begged the judge for forgiveness, saying she was taking her alcohol education classes seriously.

“I am not taking this as a joke. This is my life. It is my career. It is something I have worked for all my life,” Lohan said.

The court heard that Lohan had missed seven alcohol education classes over a period of 27 weeks and had not attended once a week as instructed by the judge.

“I couldn’t have been more clear, and it wasn’t done,” said Revel, before sentencing her.

Tuesday’s hearing stemmed from a 2007 drunken driving and cocaine arrest. Lohan spent 84 minutes in jail that year as part of her sentence and was given three years probation.

Just like us, Lindsay needs Jesus. Just like us – Lindsay goes through the same struggles, temptations and trials. Unfortunately for Lindsay- her life is in an aquarium.

If there is something that Jesus wants t say to Lindsay – it is these:

1. Lindsay, I have a wonderful plan for your life.

Lindsay was groomed to be the next big star of Hollywood. I could still remember her hit movie PARENT TRAP and FREAKY FRIDAY that catapulted her to fame. Almost all her movies were blockbuster hits. She had a platform that could influence millions of young people to live a good life. God has some great plans for Lindsay.

2. Lindsay I am your heavenly Father and I love you.

Lindsay Lohan also carries a grudge and a sincere intense hatred for her dad. I do pray that she encounters our heavenly Father and experienced His unconditional love.

3. Lindsay there is a big difference between godly sorrow and worldly sorrow.

The judge who sentenced Lindsay saw beyond the tears. She based her decision according to Lindsay’s action in the past. One day Lindsay and all of us will face our ultimate judge and we will be accountable and no amount of tears would save us from His judgment.

Heb. 9:27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,

God calls us to repent to save ourselves from His wrath because our sin has separated us from Him. God is holy, man is not and that is the problem.

2Cor. 7:10 For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death.

Lindsay – Jesus loves you. He has a wonderful plan for you. He wants you to experience His love and grace. Embrace godly repentance and experience Jesus. He can set you free.
