I think this is the word of the week for me. After reading Pat Lencioni’s Getting Naked and 5 Temptations of a CEO – God just spoke to me about being more vulnerable.

A lot of people fear vulnerability especially if you are in a position of leadership and influence. Teachers, pastors, CEOs, team leaders needs to embrace vulnerability.

Being vulnerable to your team means that you are building an atmosphere of trust. Being more open about how you feel without the fear of losing respect from your team and peers would make you a great leader.

Learning to laugh at your mistakes and admitting when you make one would earn the trust of the people you lead.

Shed off your superhero image. You are not as strong, powerful and infallable as you think you are. Be more vulnerable.
