The sequel to a SUN STAND STILL prayer

When Pastor Steven Furtick wrote a book  and preached about SUN STAND STILL, it started becoming a buzzword in so many churches. It assured at that there is a God who can still miraculously move in our behalf. When I read the book, it pumped my faith for months to start believing for greater things to come. So far, Thammie and I are moving in audacious faith and asking God to move mightily on our behalf and He never fails.

I preached on the Joshua passage on SUN STAND STILL prayers last January in our church and we have seen and heard so many stories of SUN STAND STILL prayers. God loves to hear SUN STAND STILL prayers. A lot of us has failed to move in faith when we pray. My prayer is that I would never pray prayers that would devoid God’s power. He is strong, big and He is a miracle working God. Today I was reading 2 Kings 6 and I found a sequel to a SUN STAND STILL prayer. It might not rhyme well as Steven Furtick’s book title but it works for me. I call it the IRON AX HEAD FLOATS PRAYER.

2Kings 6:5 But as one was cutting down a tree, the iron ax head fell into the water; and he cried out and said, “Alas, master! For it was borrowed.”
2Kings 6:6 ¶ So the man of God said, “Where did it fall?” And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float.
2Kings 6:7 Therefore he said, “Pick it up for yourself.” So he reached out his hand and took it.

It would take audacious faith to even do this. To let an “IRON” ax head float is impossible. But nothing is too difficult for God.

So when was the last time you ever prayed an IRON AX HEAD FLOAT PRAYER. Try it and experience God’s amazing move in your life.
