Acts 17
10 The brothers[b] immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived they went into the Jewish synagogue. 11 Now these Jews were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.
How do we receive the word of God? How do we receive the preaching of the word? The Bereans were praised with their attitude regarding the preaching of the word.
They did two remarkable things: They received it with eagerness and excitement and when they went home, they studied to see if it were true.
If we all have the attitude of the Bereans, cults and false teaching would be minimized. Lord give us a heart that will love the Word and study it with passion and eagerness.
