SERIOUS ABOUT THE NEXT GENERATION

Everytime our church, Victory, says we are serious about the next generation – it goes beyond a cliche we use in church or a motto we teach to our church members. We are really serious about the next generation.

Prior to my previous blog “so young” , the Lord continues to strengthen me and encourage me to pursue the calling to reach the next generation. Last night when we asked the people under the age of 30 to stand up so we could pray for them, we have around 60% of the crowd stood up.

During my bible time, God showed me this verse as well:

Gideon arrived just as a man was telling a friend his dream. “I had a dream,” he was saying. “A round loaf of barley bread came tumbling into the Midianite camp. It struck the tent with such force that the tent overturned and collapsed.” Judges 7:13

When Gideon received that dream, he was so pumped to kill the Midianites. From a coward young man to a mighty man of valor. From Judges 7 to 8 – we would see a different Gideon.

A FEARLESS GIDEON CONSUMED WITH GOD’S CALL FOR HIS LIFE.

IT ALL STARTED WITH THAT DREAM. Gideon when called by God the first time had so many questions. When called to battle he had so many fears and he even tested God. On the eve of the battle he was still unsure of God’s plan of victory UNTIL he heard the dream!!!

When we planted VICTORY GREENHILLS , our heart was to reach the next generation. At times when problems seems to have no solution, when circumstances would stretch you beyond what you think you cannot bear – God reminds you of the DREAM. God reminds you of why you are there.

Last night’s service was a reminder of that DREAM. We have our highest record attendance, we had an awesome loud praise and worship, we had a lot of unchurched people coming for the first time, we had stories that confirmed God’s call for the CHURCH.

I love God’s call for my life. I love the next generation. SERIOUS ABOUT THE NEXT GENERATION.
