Self Feeder

I had a great idea that didn’t quite sound right. I don’t know if this word is coined already. It is a word that describes people who are hungry to add value to their lives. I call them self feeders. Yes it does not sound good but I think it describes what I want to communicate.

The question a lot of church goers ask is WHAT’S NEXT? After I go through all the program of the church what’s next for me?

One2One- check

Victory Weekend – check

Training for Victory – check

Making Disciples – check

What’s next?

A lot of Christians jump church when they feel like the church has stop feeding them. After getting all the feeding program of that church they jump to another one, and then another one and they ask the same question WHAT’S NEXT?

MY ANSWER: FEED YOURSELF

Matt. 4:4  ¶     Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘People do not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

There are always new things to learn. The more I grow in God, the more I see a new side, character of God. It is never ending. The learning and the revelations never ends so to just rely on other people for your growth is self-defeating.
There is a season when what’s next is you doing your part to feed yourself. I rarely feed Alyanna. We have taught her how to eat by herself. It is not cute anymore to be fed by others or demand feeding from others.

So read the Bible on your own, study it, read other books, read leadership books, read Christian classics, read blogs, listen to preaching podcasts, learn, learn, learn. Feed yourself!!!!!
