questions to ask when possessed or oppressed by demons

I was shocked to hear that a lot of people have had the same demon encounters while they were in their bed. Thank you for those who messaged me and chatted with me. Here is the blog on my demon encounter

Here are some questions to ask yourself when youve encountered similar experiences:

1. Is there a sin issue in my life that I haven’t repented of?

You might be a Christian but you are still living in sin. Sin gives the devil a foothold in your life. It gives him the license to oppress you. So if there are still sin issues in yor life, repent of it now and ask Jesus to cleanse you and forgive you.

1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

2. Are there any graven images in my house? Idols? Occultic objects?

2 months ago we received a call from a church member asking for prayer because one of their family member was experiencing something unusual/ demonic. When we got to their house and entered their bedroom, I noticed a small picture of a goddess that was in their bedside. Immediately the Holy Spirit prompted me to pray against the evil spirits residing in their house.

Just imagine having a demon in your bedside every night. We asked that they take out and burn any occultic objects that they still have in their house. I also went through all the 3 questions I mentioned in this blog.

3. Have you dedicated yourself and your household to God?

This does not mean that every member of the household must be a Christian but is there at least one representing Christ in that house/home. If yes then you have the authority given by Jesus to cast out any demonic spirit. Use that authority in the power fo the Holy Spirit and the demons would have no choice but to flee.

That is the power and right we have received at the cross of Christ.

Col. 2:12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through your faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.
Col. 2:13  ¶     When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature,d God made youe alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins,
Col. 2:14 having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.
