Psalms 27:4
4One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple.
Saint Augustine said, “Our hearts are restless until they find rest in Thee.”
I have tried to fill myself up with the things that the world offers but it has failed miserably.
I have tried money, food, material things, relationships but it is never enough. It makes you think what would fill a man?
CS Lewis once said, “If I find myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world.”
I believe God has placed an inner desire in us as His children that longing to be in His presence. Something that movies, music, entertainment, sex and even the NBA finals cannot fill.
Psalms 63: 3Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you.
There is more to this life. God has given us an offer we cannot refuse. It is our choice.
