1. Serve with them.

Not just constant thank you but thanking them in the right way.
Put God in the equation of gratefulness. This rids of an entitement mindset among volunteers.
Appreciation communicates value.
3. Inspire them.
Leaders are enrgizers. Inspire them and not require them.
Put the vision in front of them.
4. Communicate with them.
– open lines.
– communicate vision time and time again. Volunteer managers are vision casters.
– communicate our plans with them. Plan with them not just for them. Let them own it.
5. Keep them
– sustain them.
