In our Senior Pastor’s meeting this morning, Pastor Joey uttered a word that is worth blogging about. He said as pastors we need to narrow our promise. Wow – the quote made my day!

Pastors we can’t do everything. We can’t promise our congregation things we can’t deliver – whether its programs, deliverance, salvation and spiritual growth.

If you narrow down what our job is it boils down to 2 – preach the Word and to make disciples.

Eph. 4:11 ¶ And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
Eph. 4:12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
