Jesus Centered

Acts 4:7-13 New International Version (NIV)

They had Peter and John brought before them and began to question them: “By what power or what name did you do this?” Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: “Rulers and elders of the people! If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a man who was lame and are being asked how he was healed, 10 then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed.

The name of Jesus is the name above all names. We sing it, we preach it but can we actually come before men and defend it. You have to be totally sold out to this truth – Jesus can heal any sickness and disease. The very foundation of our ministry whether it is preaching, casting out demons, prophesying, mercy ministries is Jesus.

11 Jesus is “‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’

Don’t be social gospel centered.

Dont’t be spiritual warfare centered

Don’t be miracle – centered

Don’t be TULIP centered

Don’t be end times centered

Don’t be prayer centered.

Be Jesus -centered. There is no other name under heaven which we can be saved. Jesus is all and above all.

12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” 13 When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus.

It doesn’t matter how unschooled, how young, how old you are. The key to Christian living is to be Christ-centered. That you can declare that Jesus is the center of it all.
