I Don’t need God

Ok – here is the last rule that you need to break.  I don’t need God to succeed.

How many people have climbed up the ladder of success only to find out that it does not mean anything? Life in the top is not as what we expect it to be. We thought success would give us our identity. It won’t – it would just mask our insecurity for a while.

John 10:10 says that Jesus came that I might have life and that is so true. What do I do with all the riches and fame? Ask Michael Jackson who died lonely and depressed. We celebrate his life while he despised it.

People need Jesus. Jesus is our hope.

What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?  Matthew 16:26

People measure success by looking at our bank account, our properties or our position. All these are temporary. A wise man invest on something eternal.

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.  Matthew 6:19
But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.  Matthew 6:20
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.  Matthew 6:21
