Hap Chan Annapolis

IMG_1503

By far, Hap Chan Annapolis is our most visited restaurant in Greenhills. First it is a 5 minute walk from our house and secondly you can’t go wrong with Hap Chan.

Hap is the Chinese word for “to put together or bundle in one group.” Chan is Chinese for “place”. Hap Chan has come to be “the right place” for gathering the family, the clan. Whether we are referring to relatives or officemates – the extended family—of every nationality—is always welcome at Hap Chan.

Starting out in 1997 as a small tea house in Manila, and serving only the Filipino-Chinese favorite’s mami, lugao and dimsum, Hap Chan began franchising its restaurant chain in 1999 through Hap Chan Trading & Management Corporation. Hap Chan Tea House has now grown its menu with a wide array of special signature dishes, and has branched out to various parts of the Philippines, and has come to be known as one of the best authentic Chinese food chains in the Philippines.

WHAT TO ORDER:

This is tough since you can almost order everything in the menu. Let me give you our top 3 orders every time we visit.

1. Lemon Chicken

When we order the lemon chicken, our kids literally devours it. Thammie and I are taken aback because  both of our kids can eat the whole order plus almost 3/4 of the Yang Chow fried rice. Hap Chan’s lemon chicken is the best that I have tasted.

2. Beef Hofan

I am a HO- fan!!! This one is amazingly delicious. This is a must try!!!

3. Hot Prawn Salad

This is a little expensive but I would work overtime in the office to be able to order this every time. The shrimp is perfectly cooked, mixed with some fruits and the chinese style mayonaise is perfectly right.
