Pastor Steve, president of our Every Nation Ministries, surprised us last Sunday by attending our 6pm service. He was with his wife Ms. Deborah and his son Johnny. When I heard he was coming, I offered to give him my preaching slot. I heard he gave a very powerful, convicting message that he blogged about. Click here to read his blog.

Anyway I ended up preaching but before I preached I ask him to come up and give a short message to the church. In his usual humble way, he uncredited ( if there is such a word) himself with the church plants happening in the Philippines. Before giving the pulpit back to me, Pastor Steve made a statement that struck me. He said, ” I know how to get out of the way and let other people take lead.”
