Entry 15: Church’s Bacolod Inasal

After my Iloilo trip, I visited our church in Bacolod where my good friend, Ryan Gidor, is the lead pastor. Our Victory Church in Bacolod is the next big thing!!! Pastor Ryan is doing a great job in leading the church to growth. From less than 20 people 3 years ago, VCF Bacolod has 180 people in attendance. That is 900% growth in the last three years.

The secret: Discipleship is Relationship. Ryan recounted the numerous coffee talks with the people that were attending his church. Through the thousands of coffee talks, dinner, lunch and breakfast dates ( that’s a lot of Chicken Bacolod and Calea cakes), he was able to win the hearts of the people and gained some new friends and loyal people in church. He also recalled the nights of literally vomiting coffee because of too much conversations with his leaders. His dinners and coffee talks paid off.

SLOW IS FAST in church planting.

Pastor Ryan Gidor is an honorary member of the clueless church planter club. As of present, he already knows what he is doing.
