Efficiently Useless

I learned this early on the church planting stage of Greenhills. With only one paid staff and volunteers to rely on – we have to be effective and efficient in what we were doing. So what do we need to do?

ELIMINATE THE THINGS WE WERE NOT CALLED TO DO.

– the men’s ministry

– the choral

– the church activities that diverts us to make disciples

– the paperworks reserved for admins and not pastors

Acts 6:1 ¶     In those days when the number of disciples was increasing, the Hellenistic Jewsa among them complained against the Hebraic Jews because their widows were being overlooked in the daily distribution of food.
Acts 6:2 So the Twelve gathered all the disciples together and said, “It would not be right for us to neglect the ministry of the word of God in order to wait on tables.
Acts 6:3 Brothers and sisters, choose seven men from among you who are known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will turn this responsibility over to them
Acts 6:4 and will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the word.”
