Clean Ones

God doesn’t seek for golden vessels, and does not ask for silver ones, but He must have clean ones. – Dwight L. Moody

God is not after flashy Christians. Or the Christian who has become successful in the eyes of other Christians. What God is looking for is a Christian who understands that for God to use him, he must be clean and the only way for him to come clean before God is to acknowledge how dirty he is and let God’s refining work cleanse him.

I always thought that for God to use me, I need to meet a certain standard of holiness and righteousness. I took pride in my religious achievements. I could quote the Scripture, I read 4 chapters of the Bible everyday. I say my prayers and I am active in ministry. All those are good but it doesn’t even matter when it comes to coming before God.

You can come with all your religious accolades and God would say, “IT IS NOT ENOUGH”. Our own good works are never enough. We need His grace. We need His love. We need His forgiveness. We need His touch. We need His power.

So come clean before God by first acknowledging you need to be cleanse by Him alone.
