Christ’s love is the killer app

I am about to finish Tim Sander’s book “Love is the killer App” and can’t help wanting to put one more chapter in the book entitled – Agape is the killer App.

The premise of the book is that as biz people we need to spread love by adding value to people. Our services, action and business should bring value to people.

Tim cited 3 major components of how to add value to people and spread love.

1. Knowledge – build your knowledge and improve on your field by reading books. Ex: If I am a church planter, I need to get my hands on church planting and church leadership books and get all the knowledge I can get from the books and share it with other people freely.

2. Network – gain more friends and build your network and start sharing them to other people. As you do this, you earn the people’s trust and love and they love you back by giving you their network.

3. Compassion – the hugs, the touch, the encouragement, the use of the word love in the workplace. Spread compassion. This is a rare commodity in the biz world. Sad to say it is also a rare commodity in church.

Let me add the 4th component:

4. Agape – Christ love. The only way to unselfishly give away your knowledge, network and compassion in a consistent basis and in the purest motive is to experience the AGAPE love of the Father.

For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.  2Corinthians 5:14

¶  “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  John 3:16

Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.  John 15:13

This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.  1John 4:10
