Eph. 6:16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.

I am a Marvel Fan. I love Captain America. He was superhuman with a super powered shield that can scare the hell out of Iron Man but if there is one shield that we need to use and is readily available for us – this is it – the SHIELD OF FAITH.

The Shield of Faith promises to do one thing – QUENCH all the FIERY DARTS of the wicked one. Let me give you a scenario:

You are walking one day with your shield and then you realize you are surrounded by demons. Demons of lust, anger, death, bitterness, unforgiveness, violence, rage, poverty. All of these demons are aimong their fiery arrows on you. There is no way you can escape. You will definitely get hit since you are surrounded. You then took up your shield of faith. The demons throws their fmaing arrows with precision but in some miraculous way as you take your shield of faith, it extinguishes ALL, not just one or two but all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

This is what faith in Christ does. It renders the weapons of the enemy harmless. When you put your faith in God then nothing can stop you from doing the work you are called to do.
