assets and liabilities

Had a long talk with a businessman last night. He had been successful all his life. He had a multi million business. His face was plastered in business magazines and was frequently invited to all social gatherings of the rich. His business was his life

UNTIL…….

his business went down. His face is still in magazines, his name mentioned in the business world but instead of talking about his success – the world highlighted his failure.

BUT……..

it was the defining moment of his life. He met Jesus at his lowest point. When the world turned its back on him, Jesus grabbed a hold of him. The man kept talking about Jesus and the newfound peace his got. He recounts how he now has more time for his family, how his marriage is experiencing a second wind.

The world counted him out – a liability. Jesus saw him and loved him. He would have never met Christ without the crisis he now faces but he has never been happier.

Lesson for the day: Our greatest asset is our LIABILTY.

That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2Corinthians 12:10
